The Friends of the Payette Airport (FotPA) will host a poker run on October 7, 2023. Designed by local pilots for pilots! A poker run is an opportunity for aviation enthusiasts to fly to several local area airports while competing for prizes, having fun, and enjoying lunch. Prefer to keep your feet on the ground? Enjoy watching the arriving and departing aircraft from a safe viewing area.
The Poker Run has three parts:
In the morning, folks like to gather to socialize and have breakfast. Planes come and go as people are fed and decide to head out. Most critically, there will be hot coffee no later than 8:00 AM. The breakfast will be light fare: donuts, juice, and coffee. Cost: Poker Run Participants: $0. The event fee covers the breakfast cost for participants. Non-Participants: $5. Recommended donation for non-participants is $5. Registration/check-in for poker run participants is from 8:00 – 9:00 AM. Poker Run registration/check-in closes at 9:00 AM.
There are 5 specific airports that must be visited to retrieve your cards for your poker hand. We encourage everyone to take their time and enjoy the scenery. Be safe. Please make sure you understand the airports we have chosen.
